Mr. Zender’s Great Talk: Condemned and Redeemed Without Consent!

After watching Zender‘s talk, I wrote this note to Stacy, the Freewill Chick.

REGARDING ROMANS 5.
LET’S SEE IF WE CAN get this right.
Where in Romans 5 does it say that we must believe in Adam to be condemned in Adam?

First of all… Adam SINNED and then BECAME mortal (dying).
However… in our case, our lives, …We are BORN mortal and THEN we sin.

See Romans 5:12.
“death was passed through to all mankind”.
You see… we all are born MORTAL and that is what makes us sin. Being mortal, we steal for food, we even gossip because we’re insecure and want to bring others down.
“death was passed through… to all mankind… and that makes us sin.

You don’t have to “believe” in Romans 5:12 to be mortal. The result of Adam’s sin is universal. Adam’s sin guaranteed that we would sin as well. For we are “in” him… we are his seed.

The result of Adam’s sin is condemnation for ALL LIFE.
See Romans 5:18…And the result of the obedience of the “last Adam” (Christ) is also universal — all life will be justified.
See Romans 5:18…
Yes, “the many” were constituted SINNERS by Adam’s one act.

See Romans 5:19.
And Yes, “the same many” will be constituted JUST by Christ’s act. See Romans 5:19.
To dare suggest that not all will be justified and constituted just… is to say that Adam’s act was greater than Christ’s act.

It is to say that sin is greater than grace and redemption.

And you clearly have said as much many times with your constant glorifying the “freewill” of man.

Mankind had no choice in this matter… we were all born IN Adam. And we were all born mortal (“death passed through into all mankind) And this mortal condition makes us sin.

Romans 8:20 “For to vanity was the creation subjected, not voluntarily, but because of Him Who subjects it, in expectation…:
Romans 8:21 …that the creation itself, also, shall be freed from the slavery of corruption into the glorious freedom of the children of God.
Belief IN Adam is not required to see the universal result of his sin.

No one signed up to be IN Adam.
And no one signed up to be IN Christ.

It all happened without our consent.
