How cute… figurative language.
You know, death is a serious topic in the scriptures.
You shouldn’t be so flippant about it.
The ONE WORD most associated with the word death in the scriptures… is RETURN.

The flesh returns to the soil.
The spirit (breath/wind) returns to God.
The soul (consciousness) returns to the “unseen” (often translated “hell”.)

YOU SAID:

PAUL SAYS:
Even as in Adam, all die…

NOTE: One who is not dead cannot be resurrected. Hmmm, interesting huh?

SATAN SAID TO EVE:
“You won’t really die.” — I.E. “the immortality of the soul”. – Pagan philosophy.

Ecclesiastes 9:5 – the dead do not know anything. — Why? They are dead!
Revelation 20:5… the dead do not live (until the 1,000 years ends) — Why? They are dead!
Ezekiel 18:20 … the soul that sinneth, it shall die. — No “immortal” soul… the soul dies.
I Cor 15:22… for even as in Adam, ALL DIE.

YOU SAID:

MY CONCERN:
This type of thinking, leads to confusion regarding Christ’s ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN HIS death on the cross. If Christ’s did not die… really die… why bother with the resurrection? It loses it’s glory. If Christ did not really die, then His resurrection is merely window dressing… a show… no contrast at all.

The serpent’s very first lie was YOU WON’T REALLY DIE…
If death is not death… then the salvation from death is useless babble.

AND remember: The core of the evangel which we received from Paul… is about Christ’s death and resurrection… a scandal (snare) to the religious muckity mucks… yet to us, the power of God.
