YOU “MUST” BELIEVE FOR IT IS TRUE… NOT TO MAKE IT TRUE… BUT BECAUSE IT IS TRUE.

I TIM 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that… Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

PLEASE NOTE: If I believe Christ came into the world to save sinners, will I go to hell?
I know it’s an odd question… but some “respectable” Christians out there, want me to believe that Christ came into the world to make salvation possible. — But that is not what I believe… I believe He came into the world to save sinners.
He did not come into the world to lose sinners.
He did not come into the world to gamble on salvation.
He did not come into the world to make an “offer” to save… no… he came to save.
He did not come to give sinners a “chance”… no, he came to save sinners.
Who did he come to save? Sinners.
His work: to save. Our work: to be sinners.
It’s the perfect combination.
We sin, he saves.
What a miracle.

QUESTION: Aren’t we suppose to believe what God’s word says?
It says He came to save sinners.
Should we limit this statement in any way?
Or should we believe it as it stands.
If you LIMIT it… you’ll tend to say, Christ will save “IF” these or those conditions are met.
But that is not what it says. It says Christ came to save sinners.
Not “some” sinners…. but sinners.
Not sinners who qualify… but sinners.
I have been told by many “freewill” “Christians” that I’m going to hell for believing that Christ came into the world to save sinners.
Why?Because they are sure that Christ work on the cross does not save.
They insist that “you must believe” — their premise of “must” is wrong, it seems to me.
They say you “must” believe in order to make it true.
However, I say you “must” believe for it already is true.
—–The “freewillers” use an analogy of a gift-wrapped present which one must open and “accept” to be enjoyed.
A closer, more Biblical analogy is one my wife told me of…A Bridge operator, whose little son was playing on the bridge.
When suddenly a cruise (party) ship appeared. The bridge operator had to decide between opening the bridge and killing his son… or not and destroying the ship and those aboard.
He opened the bridge. His son died. The Ship passed under. They were saved.
Those partying continued to party. Someone gave their life that they might live.
Did they know? Had they heard? Did they believe?
No, no, no. Yet their salvation from death and disaster was assured, guaranteed.
Now, we tell those people, someone died that they might live.

Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.
And you “must” believe FOR it is true. Not to make it true… but because it already is true.
